Deryck Todd *drool*

My boyfriend has just emailed me to alert me to the existance of a wonderful designer called Deryck Todd... As far as I've seen on my crap work internet, he makes hats embellished with cool stuff like spikes and jewels and chains.. I really want one of the trucker caps, to rock the kinda ghetto-goth look!

This is the one I'd go for...

Looks HEAVY!

Or this one would do me...

Hair ramblings

Wow, quiet day at work... I'm finding my mind wandering to shaving bits of my hair off...

I had an undercut at the back of my head for a while last year and loved the nice fuzzy-velvet feeling of the short hair... The boyfriend loved nuzzling in it too :)

I had a little Bettie Page fringe for a while this year which I loved while I was in a little rockabilly phase over the Summer, but I found I got a bit bored of it, and it got annoying as it grew out. So I've grown that out now and just have my hair swept to the side.. But I'm getting that shaving urge again...

I'm thinking a kinda Alice Dellal thing, she looks so lovely and her hair gives an edge to any outfit she wears. Plus you get the long, sexy tousled look, and have the lovely, warm, fuzzy hair feel too! Hers isn't too extreme either so I don't think work will complain....

Oh, oh, and, and... I found a really good nude nail polish! I'm currently obsessed with nude nails and I've been trying to track down the perfect creepy-manneqin-hands colour. I was gonna get Mannequin from Topshop, but it looked too orange when I looked in the shop. I may still try it one day, but I ended up buying a Maybelline one called Ivory Rose. It's pretty much clear with 2 coats but I've been using 4 and it comes out really well! I've been alternating that and Barry M mushroom, just really not feeling the usual bright nails at the moment!

Also been perving on Jeffrey Campbell Lita shoes, like every other woman in the world at the moment... I've seen some girls with amazing collections of different styles. I do like it when a designer releases the same piece of clothing in different designs. It means you can stick with a look or silhouette you like but give it a bit of variation. In the same way I have about 5 different variety of black Doc Marten boots I suppose. I usually am not keen on wooden heels, but I actually don't mind it on the Litas.
Here are the two I'm lusting ober:

Vera Wang black wedding dresses!

Although I have no plans to get married for the forseeable future, I have spent time perving over dresses a fair bit, and I've always planned to wear something long and black from All Saints for the big day when it comes. I look my best in black, and if my wedding photos will be in family albums for generations to come I wanna be looking good!
I've never been one for frills and lace (unless worn in a ripped up, Courtney Love kinda way) but these Vera Wang black wedding dresses are so beautiful, especially with the kinda grungy hair the models have going on! I'd wear this kinda thing, if I was prepared to spend that amount of money on a dress I'd wear once...

I got these pics off the Daily Mail website,so there may be more in the collection.Sadly, the DM is one of the few news sites I can get on at work, so I don't have a choice in the crap I read. The original article is here if you'd like to read it, but I warn you now, the comments section seems to fill up with awful, middle-England type bellends spouting opinionated rubbish..

Cold cold cold!

There is a good chance my lungs are going to freeze over and solidify and I'll die a horrible death. but hopefully after my Manchester trip because I'm quite looking forward to that!

Bought some jeans, and for some odd reason bought boot cut style... It does suit me but looks so early 00s, I look like myself aged 12.... Comfy for slobbing round the shops in though, and make my arse look fantastic! Might have to buy some skinnies soon...The new jeans are by Bench and they seem a nice fit, so maybe I'll try and find a pair in skinny in TK Maxx on payday!

Also, the boyf found an amazing furniture site yesterday, called Yoox.com. They do clothes too but I only glanced at the McQueen, and the prices traumatized me...
It's made me determined to own a house I can decorate how I choose and fill with cool, weirdly shaped things! The homeware on Yoox is also crazy expensive, but at least I guess it will last well...
I also found out Diesel make the most amazing homeware too!

Look at this fit stool!

And this sexy cabinet!

Homewares aside, I've booked in to have the microdermal in my neck removed and a small scarification piece done to hide the scarring, which is mega exciting! I'm quite nervous about the pain, but I've survived a tongue split and hand-poking for 7 hours so how bad can it be?? Plus I won't be able to see what he's doing so that might make me feel a bit better about it!

Gonna pack for Manchester tonight I think... It looks to be freezing cold so I'm gonna layer myself up all cosy! Thinking of wearing wooly tights, Doc Martens and a plain black skirt and vest with a baggy grey jumper over, and my big cosy parka. And of course, one of my many ridiculous hats. Probably a furry one. Shall post pics!

Not posted in ages... Sorry! Been dying of some mystery illness which has made me achey and pathetic!

Been planning a trip to Manchester which is exciting! Maybe venturing to the colder climate of 'Oop North' might encourage me to finally buy some jeans! The plan is to meet some friends for drinks in the evening, so I'll have to day to explore the city... I hope it's cheaper than London!

I'm currently looking into having my nape microdermal removed too. It's a shame because I've had it for about 4 years, which is actually quite a while for a microdermal.

I got it when they were a fairly new thing, and it was done by Samppa Von Cyborg, who is a brilliant piercer. The problem was, he did the piercing, then had to hurry off to the airport to go abroad. I left the studio, got on my train, and after I'd got one stop away, I put my hand up to feel the piercing and felt the screw on disk had fallen off in the clingfilm I had over it. I hasten to add, this probably wasn't Samppa's fault at all, the jewellery may have been loose already, or maybe been loosened during the piercing.

I hurried back, but Samppa was already gone, so another piercer at the studio had to sort it. It had swollen quite a bit and he couldn't get the disk screwed back on. He put a 'healing post' in it, which is basically a kinda 3mm long post that screws in, so a swollen piercing won't have any problems with imbedding.

This would probably have worked fine, were the microdermal not on the back of my neck... I tried to sleep on my front but I assume I wiggle about in my sleep, and spend some time on my back, pushing the post sideways. It's healed really wonky unfortunalty, and jewellery really shows it up.

It's played up quite a lot over the past few years, so I think it's quite scarred, and might look quite unpleasant once it's out. It's only really visible when my hair's up, but still... I'm probably gonna speak to the artist about getting a smallish scarification piece on the back of my neck.. Maybe a little skull or a lotus..

I did say I'd take a break from mods after getting my foot hand-poked and my tongue split in a week, but these sort of plans never last long! I'm also pining the loss of my tongue web piercing that I had to take out when I had my tongue split. Hmm... Plans to be made I think....

Just a random one, but how sexy is this coat??? Very expensive from Topshop, but I usually wear coats to death so I'd get my moneysworth... Plus I can totally justify having a green parka and a black one..

Weekend fun!

Ugh, it was so horribly hot this weekend! We have two indoor cats too so we couldn't even open a window wide! I think I must have sweated out half my body weight!

On Saturday, my boyfriend was due to DJ that evening so we spent the day chilling out in town. I went into Lush to check out their new Christmas stuff. Aaargh it's so lovely!
I got a load of bath ballistics, the one of used so far was shaped like a massive Christmas present. I dropped it in the bath, and once the gold exterior fizzes off it starts fizzing an amazing blue colour and it's full of pretty little stars! Me and the boyf had a lovely cool bath, and with all the blue it looked and felt like lazing in the sea.

I also got some lip tint. They have three Christmas ones, Snow Fairy, a bright pink that was out last year, an orangey coloured one, and a pale goldy, shimmery pink called Celebrate. I have loads of Snow Fairy Lip Tint, and I love it. It's a lovely pink, makes my skin look nice and fresh!
Celebrate is really nice as a cheek tint, it has a kinda highlighter look to it. On the lips, it needs a bit of balm under it otherwise it can just look kinda dry and patchy. Only thing I don't like is that they have sprinkled popping candy on top of it... It's pointless and kinda annoying.

Boyfriend's night was a good laugh, very quiet but had a laugh with a friend and had fun watching people's weird dancing. It's the first week a lot of people are back at Uni, and I think a lot of people would have avoided clubs because of the heat so hopefully next week will be a bit better! The guy who ran the night gave up full control to the boyfriend as he's struggling to find the time, so we're gonna totally overhaul it! Hopefully will be great fun!

We spent Sunday chilling out, had a nice meal of salmon, mash, roast carrot and courgette, then watched the extended Anchorman Blu-ray with a bottle of wine.

Look at this cool wine bottle, I got it in Tesco for £6.99, it was tasty and looked so pretty..
Pretty wine!
