Back at work D:

So, after my epic 5 day weekend, I'm back at my desk! It was HARSH waking up this morning and venturing out. I swear mornings have got colder since last week! There was frost and everything!

My time off was lovely though. The Amon Tobin gig on Wednesday was amazing, he played much more danceable music than last time, so it felt more like a gig than an art installation.
The CALM launch at Topman in Oxford Circus was great too, we only watched about 4 of the sets and went off for lunch in the middle, but what we saw was brilliant! Eddy TM and Zane Lowe were brilliant together, you could tell they were having a whale of a time, laughing and dancing about.

The downside to a gig in Topman is that I spend a vast amount of money in there... I love their jewellery, it's chunkier and more edgy than a lot of the womens Topshop bits. I got a cool kinda angular beetle necklace and the boyf got some rings and a bullet-belt style bracelet. In Topshop I got two sweaters, one with a ribcage on the front, and one that says 'Heavy Metal' on it. Also picked up a cool spiky headband which looks awesome but I have no idea when I'll wear it! You know when you just can't leave the shop without something!

Pic stolen from my boyf... Eddy and Zane... Ain't they cute!

Going to another gig on Saturday, a band called The Others who I was really into when I was about 14. They played kinda indie-punk music, and were really lovely to their fans, giving out their phone numbers and letting people crash at their flats after gigs. Myself and my friend had some really good times at their gigs before so it'll be a nice nostalgic night out if nothing else!

I remember one particular night after being thrown out of a venue for being too rowdy, the band lead the entire crowd down the street to Regents Park, where we climbed over a fence and sat about singing songs and chatting and laughing... Then the Police turned up and we all had to make a hasty exit over the fence (resulting in a impalement wound to the arse-cheek for me!)...Good times, back in the day when we had no responsibilities and worries!

On the hair side of things, I'm seriously considering dreadlocking my hair. I used to wear fake ones when I was a little cyber-kid but I'm after the real thing now. My hair is about boob-length now, and all I ever seem to do is bung it in a plait, or a bun. So I guess dreads would just make it a more visually interesting plait or bun! Plus I loathe brushing my hair as it's very fine and tangles easily...

I'm going to look into dying my hair with indigo, or henna and indigo, as I'm getting very adverse to chemicals these days. My skin is less spotty now but it is making its opinions known with allergic reactions and sore dryness!
I'm actually in the process of moving my skincare regime from Lush stuff to Neal's Yard, as not only do they do an SPF moisturiser suitable for all skin types, but they do a specific range to protect youthful skin.
I find Lush face washes quite harsh, and I don't want to keep drying my skin out so much as I think it will be damaging in the long term. Lush do do an SPF 30 moisturiser now but it's very thick and reccomended for 'mature' skin so I don't think it will be for me.. Plus those Neal's Yard blue glass bottles look beautiful in your bathroom!

Thats all my ramblings for now anyway!
Love!
